Leading waterfront and riparian property rights law firm improves environmental conditions at Paradise Creek Nature Park in Portsmouth by planting native shrubs.

Waterfront Property Law Attorneys Jeff Wilson, together with paralegal Cozette Holland, joined with our friends at The Elizabeth River Project on Saturday to plant native shrubs at Paradise Creek Nature Park in Portsmouth, Virginia. As described in Paradise Creek Nature Park website, this park is a national model for urban river restoration. Formerly a hazardous waste dump, this 40-acre waterfront park has two miles of trails through an urban forest and 11 acres of new tidal wetlands. On this particular Saturday, our Waterfront Property Law Team partnered with other volunteers to plant dwarf yaupon holly shrubs, which are native to Virginia. The plant produces a small round, shiny, red or yellow fruit that is an important food source for birds and mammals.
